Who is responsible for your information

What I collect

For business-to-business marketing I hold only business information that is already published: business name, business contact email address, business phone number, business address, website address, company number and the public source I found it in. I also record the date I collected it, whether I have contacted the business, and any request not to be contacted again.

If you become a client, I hold the information you give me to build and run your website: your contact details, your logo and photographs, your service list, and your domain details.

Where it comes from

Public business sources only: Companies House, OpenStreetMap, and the contact details a business publishes on its own website. I do not buy personal contact lists, and I do not use private or personal email addresses to send marketing.

Why I use it, and the lawful basis

• To contact businesses about website services: legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). I contact registered limited companies and LLPs, which are corporate subscribers under PECR, and I keep the number of messages low and relevant.
• To build and run a website for a client: performance of a contract.
• To keep records of objections: legal obligation and legitimate interests, so that I never contact someone who has asked me not to.

How long I keep it

Marketing information is kept for up to 12 months after the last contact, then deleted. If you object, I delete your details and keep only the minimum needed on a suppression list so that you are not contacted again. Client project information is kept for as long as needed to run your website, then for six years for accounting purposes.

Who I share it with

I do not sell or share your information for marketing. I use a small number of service providers to run the business: email hosting, website hosting (Cloudflare Pages), and accounting if needed. They only process information on my instructions.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to being contacted. If you object to marketing, I will stop immediately and permanently.

Opting out of email

Every marketing email I send includes a simple opt-out. Reply "no thanks" to any message and your address and domain are added to a permanent do-not-contact list.

Cookies

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and uses no advertising or analytics trackers, so no cookie banner is needed.
